THE NEW NOKIA 6720

A phone not pertaining to the Navigator line, but mentioned by Nokia as one that focuses on GPS, is the Nokia 6720 Classic, also unveiled at the Mobile World Congress 2009.
Besides having the GPS feature, which works for navigation and geo-tagging, it also has HSDPA and HSUPA, Bluetooth, USB connectivity, a 3.5mm audiovisual jack; and a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash, and video recording in VGA resolution (640x480 pixels) at 15fps.
Compared to some of the other Nokia phones launched at this event, the 6720 is cheaper, thus, does not feature Wi-Fi connectivity, and has a small 2.2" display.
The new phones are, however, overpowered: the 6720 Classic has a ARM 11 processor that runs at 600MHz. The phone is also based on Symbian OS9.3 with S60 3rd edition Feature Pack 2 platform. It comes with a 1050mAh battery, more capable than the 950mAh one included on the 6710 Navigator.
The 6720 Classic is relatively similar to the 6220 Classic in terms of looks. In fact, one can actually get confused over the two models, if it wasn't for the colours, and back section. Size-wise, the 6220 measured 108x47x15mm, and weighed 90g; while the recently-announced 6720 Classic measures 110x45x14mm, and weighs 110g.
Samsung E1410 and E1117 entry-level Phonehas always been prolific when it comes to low-end phones, so it’s no surprise that, today, two new basic handsets that bear the South Korean manufacturer’s brand have surfaced. I’m talking abothat will probably be successful in markets like India, China and Russia.
Neither of the new phones has a photo camera or an MP3 player, so I guess that Samsung will be selling them for less than $100 each.
What’s nice about the E1410 is that its 1000 mAh battery is said to last up to 11.5 hours in talk-time mode, or up to 546 hours in standby mode.ut Samsung E1410

Lenovo IdeaPad S10e
Pretty much every PC vendor has now introduced a mini laptop 'netbook' model, but the Lenovo IdeaPad S10e is not just a me-too product. The system has inherited the quality feel of the firm's corporate ThinkPad laptops, as well as borrowing some of their more useful features.
Available since late 2008, the IdeaPad S10e follows the now familiar netbook specifications of a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor, Windows XP, up to 1Gb memory, a footprint smaller than an A4 sheet of paper, and a low starting weight of just 1.1kg.

Like most netbooks, the S10e has the advantage of being affordable and highly portable. It also shares the same failings of other models, such as a less-than-impressive battery life and a slightly cramped keyboard.
However, unlike most others, Lenovo has equipped its mini laptop with a standard 160GB 2.5in SATA hard drive rather than a Flash solid state drive, and an ExpressCard slot allowing users to plug in extra devices such as wireless modems or FireWire adapters.
Lenovo has also configured the system with two pre-boot environments in addition to the main operating system: Quick Start lets you surf the web, play music or make Skype phone calls without having to boot into Windows; while the ThinkVantage rescue and recovery tool lets you restore the system to its factory settings if Windows becomes unusable.
Our first impression of the IdeaPad is that it looks like a smaller ThinkPa d, in that it has the characteristic clean lines and black casing, although it's also available in other colours. It feels well made and robust enough to take a few knocks, another attribute it shares with the ThinkPad line.
In use, we found that the IdeaPad handled office applications with little difficulty. We tested our review unit with a trial version of Office 2007, which ran perfectly well with no issues. One minor criticism is that it is only possible to push the laptop lid back to an angle of about 120 degrees, which means that, when used on your lap, the screen points towards your chest rather than your face.
The screen is 10.1in across the diagonal, an improvement on the tiny screens of earlier netbooks but still a little small compared to mainstream laptops. It also operates at a rather odd native resolution of 1,024 x 576 pixels, instead of the 1,024 x 600 you would expect on a wide-screen display.
This should not cause too many problems, but we found that dialogue boxes in some applications were too large to fit inside the display area, making it impossible to click the OK or cancel buttons as they were off the bottom of the screen. This is a problem we've encountered on other small portables with low resolution displays.
Lenovo's keyboard is one of the best we've seen on a netbook, with a comfortable and pleasant typing action from the keys. The keycaps are about three-quarters the size of those on a full-sized laptop, with the exception of the minuscule function keys across the top of the keyboard. We could manage a reasonable typing speed, but still hit the wrong keys a few times because of the close spacing between them.
The touchpad controller is inevitably rather small, but the Synaptics driver makes life easier by letting you scroll quickly through long documents by swiping the right hand edge of the touchpad or by making rapid circular motions on it with a fingertip

Asus Eee PC 1000HE Black Netbook
Eee's 1000H is generally held to be one of the more complete netbook packages out there, but the placement of the right shift key to the starboard side of the up arrow drives many a touch-typist bonkers. Welcome, then, to the 1000HE, or "extended." It features a chiclet-style keyboard that slightly increases the size of each key, but more importantly has a slightly revised layout, moving that shift key to the left. New too is a six-cell pack full of 2.9 amp batteries (versus 2.7 amps in the 1000H), said to add another hour to the Eee's life, up to a total of 8.7 according to Asus. Finally, the company announced an "HAE" model that sports lacks 802.11n, Bluetooth, and presumably a higher lower price tag. No word on what that price will be on either model, though, or when you might be able to get your fingertips on them

The HP Pavilion G60-230US laptopThe hp pavilion g60-230us laptop 16.0-Inch Laptop has everything one can dream of and more. Its powerful specs and brilliant display makes it the perfect laptop for gamers and those who often use their laptops for editing videos and graphics. One of its biggest selling points will have to be its huge 16" screen. It is a WXGA high-definition screen powered by an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500M that uses shared video memory, producing crisp and clear visuals. It runs on Intel Clear Video technology that delivers clearer and more detailed video playbacks with powerful color controls. In short the HP Pavilion G60-230US is the ultimate video and graphics machine when it comes to laptops. This model is a favorite among many professional video editors and animators.
The spacious 320GB of storage is more than enough for the average laptop user.
The HP Pavilion G60-230US runs on a 2.0GHz Intel Pentium T4200 dual-core processor that translates to high computing speeds. With this powerful processor, you can run multiple heavy tasks (such as running a virus scan and playing a game) all at one without any noticeable lags. It also has 3GB of RAM that ensures that all your applications run smoothly without a glitch.
Like most full-sized laptops, the keyboard on the HP Pavilion G60-230US has 101 keys including several quick-launch buttons for playing music and videos. It comes with Microsoft Home Vista (the Home Premium edition) and several other HP media softwares. Like many 16" laptops, this model may feel a little heavy, but in my books, it is a small price to pay in return for powerful specs and a seamless computing experience.
SONY VAIO POCKET MAIN

.
Sony finally let those at CES get a hands-on with their latest stealth computer release. It truly is the ultimate computer on the go @ 1.4 pounds/1 inch thick, with an Instant-on OS, internet access via 3G, minimal storage, movie player and photo application. What’s inside? 1.33Ghz Atom inside so not that quick, 2GB of RAM and Vista Home Basic for $900.
Very small (screen is only 8 inches), uses a trackball instead of a track-pad, must sign up with Verizon to score the 3G connection (No GSM), and the price is a little steep (The base is $900, but the notebook can run as high as $1500 with 60GB of storage capability). Take a look at the pic below to see how small the computer actually is, and trust me when I tell you this lady is no giant.
